Five plus years ago SBL Co. was contacted by an intermediate sized grocery store chain that was needing to improve store management turnover issues and also elevate the level of management competency. As we delved into the history and culture of the company we learned a great deal more about them and also uncovered other issues that contributed to the certain weak elements of business. When we started working with them the ownership share value was in the low two digits per share. Over the course of our five year engagement the company leadership team and our firm developed a number of strategic initiatives every year that greatly improved the quality and productivity of management and leadership, building a strong succession culture and the value of the company stock increased nearly 10 fold.
